Janis Landry-Lane, World-wide Program Director of IBM Systems Division, leads a team of subject matter experts in Genomic Medicine. With both PhDs and MD/PhDs, the team is valued for their understanding of customer requirements. In addition, Janis works with IBM partners to optimise and enable their software as a part of an overall deliverable, she has also worked with customers world-wide to build extensible environments using IBM's best practices. In this role, Janis is the Senior Executive who builds strategy, working across IBM's divisions with engagements in both the academic and commercial life sciences accounts. She has held this position for over 4 years, and reports to the IBM World-wide Vice President.
During the last 38 years Janis has had various roles at IBM, including a leadership role with world-wide high performance computing. She has also served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Central Michigan University Research Corporation (2000 - 2007). Janis was guiding their research on the use of data mining techniques for both commercial and healthcare projects, and has been active in the development of the CMU Research Corporation.

Matthew holds a Masters in Information Rights Law and Practice and the BCS certificate in Data Protection. He is experienced in case handling and advising organisations on information compliance across a variety of sectors. Matthew currently manages the Information Governance (IG) function for the London Borough of Hounslow and is the organisational lead for the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). He is also an established member of the London Information Governance Network.
Matthew gained valuable experience in the audit department at the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) helping organisations improve their privacy practices to reduce risk. He provided expert advice to local government, criminal justice and health organisations through on-site audits which were followed up with listed recommendations. Matthew particularly enjoyed being part of a network of trainers and delivered internal training to all levels within ICO.

Previously Mike provided consultancy and research on emerging consumer and technology trends for BGL Group, highlighting the potential impacts and opportunities to the CIO and the senior executive community. Bridget Kenyon (CISSP) is Head of Information Security for University College London. Her experience in information security started in 2000 with a role in network vulnerabilities at DERA. Following this, she took hands-on roles as a network administrator and a systems administrator, before returning to her favoured field as Information Security Officer for the University of Warwick.
In 2007, Bridget moved into consulting as a QSA and advised many of the major UK banks on payment card security (PCI DSS), as well as clients in the educational, retail, telecommunications and hospitality sectors. During this period, she also became involved in the development of ISO/IEC 27001 and other standards relating to information security management. In addition to her UCL role, Bridget is an active member of BSI Panel 1 (for development of ISO/IEC 27001 and related standards), and has edited ISO/IEC 27013. She also chairs the NHS-HE Forum IG Working Group, which provides HE input into the Information Governance Toolkit. Bridget has co-authored three textbooks on information security, most recently the UCISA Information Security Management Toolkit (Part 1).
Foresters Friendly Society
Erik Vynckier was co-opted to the Board of Foresters Friendly Society in 2016.
He was previously Chief Investment Officer at Alliance Bernstein responsible for asset management solutions to support the investment, capital management and product development of insurers. Before, Erik managed with-profits and annuity funds at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, improving risk/return with novel assets and derivatives overlays. Earlier, he managed the Group Risk Hub of Standard Life, hedging equity, interest rate and currency risks of with-profits and variable annuities.
Before that, Erik worked at investment banks Credit Suisse First Boston and HSBC, in equity program trading, quantitative development and pension fund and insurance asset-liability management. Prior to his MBA, Erik held R&D, production and strategy positions in the petrochemical industry in France, Belgium, Germany, the US and the UK.
He has also founded and served as board member of www.hpcfinance.eu and www.bigdatafinance.eu, the European initiatives on high performance computing and big data analytics in Finance.
Erik graduated as Chemical Engineer at Universiteit Gent (Belgium) and completed his MBA at London Business School in 2000.
